Pursuant to CA legislation (2/2005,1/1/15,1/1/18, 1/1/19) Supervisors must receive harassment and abusive conduct training every 2 years.  Changes – Employers of 5 or more must comply. GC §12950.1, training, in the required interactive format, includes practical examples about the prohibition against, and the prevention of, harassment based on sex, and abusive conduct, including appropriate investigative procedures and concepts.

Beginning 1/1/2019!  Pursuant to SB 1343, GC 12950.1 has been amended to require a minimum of one hour of training for all non-supervisorial employees on harassment based on sex, and the definition and prevention of abusive conductTraining deadline January 1, 2020.  NCSC will be offering classes throughout 2019.

Pursuant to 49 CFR §382, and following OSHA’s requirements for employer’s complying with the Drug-Free Workplace Act - Employers must ensure that those who need to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists, receive training on recognition of alcohol misuse and controlled substances use.
