This course will cover the requirements of CCR Title 8 §5193 for General Industry and the Construction Trades, where exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials may come about through collateral duties performed on the job.  Collateral duties with possible exposure include first aid providers, and anyone who may be exposed with duties such as street or parks clean up where contact with needles, feces or blood may occur.  You will learn the means of transmission of disease, symptoms, how to identify possible risks, universal precautions including the proper use of PPE, decontamination and appropriate actions to take in an emergency, labeling and warning signage as well as opportunity for questions.  This is required annual training for any employees who may perform the above-referenced tasks.
