Cal-OSHA has changed rules under 3205 Non-Temporary COVID Prevention standard, to shorten the infectious period to 24 hours after onset of symptoms, and for those with no symptoms, there is no infectious period which requires exclusion. Recommendations for testing have changed, slightly, with CDPH recommending tsting only for those with COVID symptoms, or close contacts who may be vulnerable or who may have close contact with vulnerable individuals.
All the rest of the Non-Temporary COVID Prevention Standard remain in effect until February 2025.
NCSC COVID Classroom Policies
While NCSC does not require masking, since the lifting of masking mandates, we continue to encourage those attending trainings to make use of masks provided. We gather people from all professions, including those who work with vulnerable populations, for six to eight hours in an enclosed room. If you work with vulnerable people or have family members similarly vulnerable, NCSC provides masks, both surgical and N95, for use during class. With the current surge of COVID hospitalizations and deaths, NCSC will continue to encourage masking.
