COVID 19 Updating!

ALERT!  Cal-OSHA is revising and updating the COVID 19 Emergency Standard (3205), with an Standards Board meeting May 20, 2021.  They will be reviewing the revised standard proposed language just put out May 7th.  We will keep you posted on these changes that include vaccinations and many other updates to the standard.  Members will be receiving a detail of the main highlights of those changes in the monthly member newsletter - Regulatory Journal.  Keep masking and social distancing, and get your vaccine as soon as you are able - We ARE in this together!

Harassment Based on Sex & Abusive Conduct-Supervisors - 7/16

Pursuant to CA legislation (2/2005,1/1/15,1/1/18, 1/1/19) Harassment training must be provided by employers every 2 years.  Other changes – Employers of 5 or more must comply. GC §12950.1, training covers information, in the required interactive format, including practical examples regarding the prohibition against, and the prevention of, harassment based on sex, and definition & prevention of abusive conduct.  **This course will be held as a web-based class, on the Cisco Webex platform (functions like Zoom).  Students will receive class materials from NCSC, and an invitation to the class from Webex, the day before.  This training is required to be interactive, and though it is not necessary to have a webcam or mic, you must be able to see and hear the course, and be able to type/text in responses (if no mic).**
