Pursuant to 49 CFR §382, and following requirements for employer’s complying with State or Federal contracts- Employers must ensure that ‘supervisors’, receive training on recognition of signs of probable alcohol misuse and controlled substances use.  Additionally, if an employer institutes a drug testing policy that includes reasonable suspicion testing, all supervisors must receive training in the recognition of the signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol misuse.

Pursuant to AB 1825 and AB 2053 (as of January 1, 2015) Sexual Harassment training must be provided by employers every 2 years, and must now include training on preventing abusive conduct.  GC §12950.1, training covers information, in an interactive format, including practical examples regarding the prohibition against, and the prevention of, sexual harassment, as well as victims’ remedies, and the definition and prevention of abusive conduct in the workplace.
